Combining style and function can be a difficult endeavor when it comes to designing space-constrained apartments. Our major task was to create a Scandinavian home incorporating homeowners’ treasured toy collection. While most homeowners want large cabinets to keep all items away from sight, our client wants to integrate his toy collection into space. Clad in light oak laminate, a customized cabinet stretches along the hallway to showcase the homeowners’ collection. Each shelf is meticulously made to the size where every figurine fits. To solve the space constraints issue, the customized island was added into the kitchen to replace the dining table and serve as extra storage with an in-built extendable table.
In the study room, soft blue hues are selected for the wall for a calming sensation that welcomes the homeowner back from work. Customized shelves and tables are built for extra storage space.
Our client is particularly interested in finding a way to incorporate a dresser in their bedroom without making the room cluttered. To resolve the issue, our designer designed a customized wardrobe with a hidden pull-out panel to store the client’s accessories.
In what was originally a dull space, the result has a crisp, modern vibe loaded with soothing hues and a sense of personality.
